1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the PICXEL website and brick mosaic tool (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PICXEL is a creative tool that transforms your personal photographs into colour-mapped mosaic blueprints designed to be assembled using physical building bricks. The Service runs entirely within your web browser — your images are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service independently. If you are under 16, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Your Content and Image Rights

You retain full ownership of any images you upload to the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the image or have the right to use it for this purpose.
  • The image does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party.
  • The image does not contain unlawful, offensive, or harmful content.

Because all image processing takes place locally in your browser, PICXEL never receives, stores, or accesses your images.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to process, display, or distribute images that are:

  • Illegal under applicable law.
  • Depicting minors in an inappropriate or sexual manner.
  • Defamatory, harassing, or threatening to any individual or group.
  • Protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights without proper authorisation.

6. Intellectual Property

All elements of the PICXEL Service — including the brand name, logo, software, website design, algorithms, and generated mosaic layouts — are the exclusive property of PICXEL and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without prior written permission.

The mosaic blueprints generated from your images are intended for your personal use in assembling a physical brick mosaic. Commercial reproduction of generated blueprints requires a separate licence from PICXEL.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. PICXEL does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce results that meet your expectations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PICXEL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the Service. In no event shall PICXEL's total liability to you exceed the amount you paid, if any, for access to the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

PICXEL reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction in which PICXEL operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
